CORPORATE Jet Investor’s Aircraft Transaction Masterclass is a unique two-day course examining all aspects of a deal. This includes the sales process, pre-purchase inspections, tax, insurance, finance and tripartite agreements.
Our latest event took place in a hotel in Surrey, 25 miles south of London, that first opened in 1254.
This was the 15th time the masterclass has taken place. The practical case studies have been a highlight every time. The first negotiation involved agreeing a short-form letter-of-intent for an aircraft on the market now. The case study saw groups acting as either an aircraft management company or a private bank, negotiating payment terms for an owner in default.
There was also a lot of networking and socialising. This included a tour, wine tasting and dinner at Denbies Wine Estate, England’s largest vineyard. Despite some scepticism, most people agreed with the UK’s growing reputation for winemaking – particularly sparkling wine. The closing dinner took place at a 400-year-old coaching house pub.
