FAA APPROVALS AND DELIVERIES IN FOCUS

FAA approvals and first customer deliveries lead our snapshot of jet headlines over the past six months.

In December 2025, Bombardier revealed its Global 8000 – billed as the world’s fastest civilian jet since Concorde with a top speed of Mach 0.95 – received FAA certification. The launch customer Patrick Dovigi, managed by Chartright Air Group, received the first delivery of the aircraft in the same month.

The first Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2 (pictured right) entered service in January 2026. Launch customers were longtime Citation owners Dave Mecartney and Shannon Day. The delivery follows FAA certification of the Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2 aircraft in October 2025.

The manufacturer’s Cessna Citation Ascend received FAA certification in November 2025. The first aircraft customer delivery was made in December 2025.

Gulfstream Aerospace revealed its new G300 had completed its maiden flight at the beginning of December 2025. The OEM also confirmed it had received steep-approach landing certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency for its G500 and G600 aircraft in January 2026 – opening access to more airports worldwide.
